Athletic Renovation Project

Support Our Athletic Renovation Project!

As part of our school's strategic plan to build a better Collegiate, we are excited to announce a two-phase renovation project aimed at transforming our athletic facilities, enhancing the student-athlete experience, and strengthening our community. This initiative aligns with our broader commitment to investing in institutional priorities, including:
  • Athletic Renovation Project
  • Lower School playground and outdoor classroom
  • Harris Courtyard enhancement
  • Stanton Library renovation
  • Administration suite renovation

Phase 1: Modernizing Our Gymnasium For the Next Generation

The summer of 2025 will see the original floor and wooden bleachers removed in the Watt-Baker Gymnasium and a new generation of flooring and bleachers ushered in. The Treehouse will remain for our Oaks!

What's New...

  • Upper School Gym Floor: A high-quality playing surface that prioritizes safety and performance.
  • Branded Bleachers: Replacing outdated wooden bleachers with modern, branded seating that reflects our school pride and accommodates more spectators.

Phase 1 Is Officially Underway!

We’re thrilled to announce that Phase I of our $2.8 million Athletic Renovation Project is set to begin on Monday, April 7, 2025— marking the start of an exciting new era for our athletic facilities!

To kick things off, the upper school gym will be closed from Monday, April 7 through Tuesday, April 16 to install the new lighting and sound system.

During this time, the gym will not be accessible for student use, practices or extracurricular activities. We appreciate your patience and support as we work to create a top-tier athletic environment for our students. Our faculty and staff have worked hard to minimize disruption and ensure the continued success of student programs during this brief closure.

Phase 2: Expanding and Upgrading Athletic Spaces

The summer of 2026 will see...
  • Strength & Conditioning Space: Tripling the square footage to provide a more dynamic and efficient training environment.
  • New Equipment: State-of-the-art strength and conditioning equipment to support comprehensive athlete development.
  • Athletic Training Space: Doubling the size of our training area to better serve athletes' health, wellness and rehabilitation needs.
  • New Team Room: A dedicated space for team meetings, fostering collaboration and strategy development.
  • Two Referee Rooms: Comfortable and private spaces for referees to prepare and refresh.
  • Referee Meeting Room: A designated area for officials to discuss game details and ensure smooth coordination.
