Norfolk Collegiate is the premier Pre-K through Grade 12 independent school in Hampton Roads. We understand the importance of educating the whole child in early childhood development. Our mission to create critical thinkers, doers and explorers begins in our Pre-K classrooms.

Our Pre-Kindergarten 3 and 4 programs offers a dynamic jump-start into the academic world through purposeful play and innovative teacher-led and student-led activities. Our young students learn to question, explore, think and solve problems. And for the same cost as area preschools, our students enjoy our extensive facilities, plus meals, snacks and extended care at no additional cost!

Pre-K3 Fast Facts
- Pre-Kindergarten 3 costs $16,500 for the 11-month program (no classes from July 27-Aug. 19, 2025). Lunch, snacks and before and aftercare are included in the cost.
- Academic day 8:15 a.m.-3 p.m. (extended care is included from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. at no additional cost)
- Applicants must be 3 years old by Aug. 25, 2025 (This is the first day of Pre-K3 for 2025-26.)
- Applicants must be able to independently manage their own self-care in the restroom by Aug. 25, 2025.
Pre-K4 Fast Facts
- Pre-Kindergarten 4 costs $16,850 for the 11-month program (no classes from July 27-Aug. 19, 2025). Lunch, snacks and before and aftercare are included in the cost.
- Both lead teachers hold master’s degrees in early childhood education.
- Academic day 8:15 a.m.-3 p.m. (Extended care is included from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. at no additional cost.)
- Applicants must be 4 years old by Aug. 21, 2025 (This is the first day of school for 2025-26 school year.)

Curriculum

Norfolk Collegiate's pre-Kindergarten program is designed to prepare your child cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically for a seamless transition to pre-Kindergarten 4, Kindergarten and beyond.

Students build a foundation in reading, writing, mathematics and communication. Experiences in science, social studies, physical education, library, music, art, technology and Spanish also broaden young horizons. Daily, purposeful play inspires creative thinking, curiosity and creativity. Our technology-enhanced classrooms develop your children into a 21st Century learners capable of achieving their greatest potential.
