Arts & Innovation

Shaping Tomorrow's Innovators Today

At Norfolk Collegiate, our Arts & Innovation program is built on the foundation of student agency and creativity. We create a space where students are in control of their own learning, allowing them to take risks, explore their passions and make meaningful connections between what they learn and the world around them. Whether they’re developing a new solution to a real-world problem or creating art that reflects their unique perspective, students are at the heart of everything we do.

Our state-of-the-art facilities reflect our commitment to fostering creativity and innovation. The industrial MakerLabs in each division provide hands-on opportunities for students to experiment and build, while the Innovation Hub offers a suite of cutting-edge spaces for collaboration, research and advanced fabrication. The Hackney Theater offers an extraordinary space for performance and technical theater work, while our art studios provide the perfect environment for students to explore various visual arts disciplines.

In the classroom, whether it’s an engineering project, concert preparation, or a pottery critique, our approach remains the same—student agency and creativity are the guiding principles. Every class is designed to inspire students to take ownership of their learning, apply their skills in innovative ways and solve problems that matter to them. This ethos connects all aspects of our Arts & Innovation program, fostering a learning environment where students thrive as creators, thinkers and leaders.
