Kindergarten Student Screening
An important part of the admissions process is for the student to attend a student screening. The screening is conducted in a group setting with age-appropriate peers who are also applying to Norfolk Collegiate. The screening is a one-hour academic and social-emotional readiness assessment that takes place in our Spainhour Family Library at the lower school campus, 5429 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk.The screening dates listed above will be our only screening dates prior to the Dec. 15 Priority Admissions deadline. There's just one problem—his new houseguests aren't the least bit frightened! Based on Oscar Wilde's classic tale, "The Canterville Ghost" is a hilarious comedy filled with ghostly antics, unexpected twists and plenty of laughs.Admission costs $5 for students and $15 for regular admission (cash and card accepted). This is open to the public, so invite everyone! -

Grades 6-12 ISEE Testing
Norfolk Collegiate offers ISEE testing at 9 a.m. at Norfolk Collegiate on the following dates:- Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026
- Saturday, Dec. 12, 2026
- Saturday, January, 23, 2027
Candidates Grades 6-12: Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) Exam Registration Instructions
1. Navigate to ERB Learn and select "register now" to begin registration.
2. Create a parent account to register on the left-hand side of the screen, and input all required information. From here, an account dashboard will appear for you (the parent), to add students and register for tests. On the left-hand side of the screen, select "add student."
3. Complete all necessary fields of student information, save and continue. You will now be directed to a screen in which there will be an option to search and register for available tests.
4. Click that link, and input the student's current grade level, grade applying for, and current school (optional).
5. When searching for tests, search by date offered (usually must be at least a week out from the date of registration to have availability), as well as the state. Please change state to NY for at-home testing options to populate in the results.
6. Choose from selected options, and register for an exam of your choice. Please add score recipients on the next page to ensure submission to Norfolk Collegiate (Member Code: 471573).
7. Complete registration by selecting all necessary terms and conditions, and proceed to payment to confirm the test.
8. In preparation for your student's exam, please refer to the ISEE At Home Testing Guide for more information.

Norfolk Collegiate will NOT host extended care for lower or middle school and the Stanton Library will not offer supervised hours for our upper school students on this day. The school will close to all students following the last bell.

We're so excited to have our grandparents and special friends join us for a morning of festivities will include a special program beginning with student performances at 9 a.m.Following the performances, guests are invited to join their grandchildren and friends for various activities throughout the lower school. We encourage our guests to wrap up the festivities with a visit to the book fair in the gymnasium, activities with their students throughout the school, a portrait with Hayne Photography as well as shopping the pop-up Collegiate Corner.
To keep spaces available in our parking lot for our honored grandparents and special guests, a Norfolk Collegiate bus will provide transportation to our lower school from Lakewood Park beginning at 8:15 a.m. and concluding at 11:15 a.m.- If your family is arriving in more than one car, we ask you to please park at the Lakewood Park parking lot off Willow Wood Drive adjacent to the school.
- If you arrive and do not see the Collegiate bus, please wait inside your car for the bus to arrive; we promise we'll be there soon!
**NEW THIS YEAR**We understand that parents would like to be a part of this special lower school program as well. To help maintain a comfortable attendance on Grandparents and Special Friends Day (Friday, Nov. 20), we ask that ONLY grandparents or special friends attend. This year, we welcome parents to view the student program on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 8:30 a.m. This viewing will only include the student program. Students in pre-K3 through grade 5 will dismiss at noon following Grandparents and Special Friends Day.
