April is the Month of the Military Child and on Friday, April 11, we are encouraging all of our students, faculty and staff to show their support by wearing purple during our special spirit dress day.
Why purple??? Purple combines each branch’s colors into one: the Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard use shades of blue, the Army uses green, and the Marines use red. Students who do not want to participate in the spirit dress day should follow the regular school dress guidelines. Please contact Mrs. Kathy Garris with any spirit dress questions you may have or review the Lower School Student Dress Guidelines.
We also will be celebrating and recognizing the students of military families at our lower school morning assembly on Friday. Members of our upper school "Military Kids Club" will be in attendance, as well as military students from our middle school to talk about their experiences.
