Norfolk Collegiate maintains a strong international student program, enriching our diverse student community. Students from all over the world come to Norfolk Collegiate to finish their high school experience and graduate on to American colleges, while others choose to come for a single year of cultural immersion.
Norfolk Collegiate works with the following agencies for the placement of international students:
New Oasis International Education: newoasisedu.com
Nacel Open Door: www.nacelopendoor.org
International Experience (iE): www.ie-usa.org
International students are an integral part of the Norfolk Collegiate community and excel in the classroom, on the stage and on the sports field. As part of their experience, international students stay with local host families, as arranged by their agency. This allows for a deeper cultural experience for both the student and their host family.
International students seeking admission should expect to provide their agency with the following documentation:
- Application and application fee
- Candidate questionnaire
- Two teacher recommendations (one must be English)
- Standardized test results: TOEFL (required)
- Health forms
- School transcript/report cards
- Skype interview
Your application to Norfolk Collegiate starts with one of the agencies above. For more information, please contact Director of Admissions Mary Peccie, for any questions about the international admissions process.
