| back | | Senator Wagner speaks to US History Students | | | Senator Frank Wagner, who represents the 7th Senatorial District in Virginia, spoke to 11th grade US History students about the legislative process. Introduced by junior, Brandi Poort, Senator Wagner discussed the importance of constituent services, the right to vote, and the intricacies of how a bill becomes a law in the Virginia General Assembly. The Senator answered questions from students ranging from his stand on national and state energy policy to how he got his start in politics.
A Naval Academy graduate and Ocean Engineer, Senator Wagner serves on the Governor’s Economic Development and Jobs Creation Commission, Senate Rehabilitation and Social Services (Chairman); Commerce and Labor; Finance; Rules; and Transportation Committees.
