2012 National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony
On Friday, March 16th, 47 NCS middle school students were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. Students, parents, current NJHS members, faculty and administrators gathered for the ceremony in the middle school gym to witness the induction ceremony and were treated to some great student performances.

New NJHS members qualified for acceptance because of the high standards of excellence they  achieved in all areas of their lives. As part of the ceremony, current NJHS members described five areas in which the inductees are required to excel in order to become a member of the National Junior Honor Society, they are: scholarship, service, citizenship, character, and leadership.

Our NJHS members have performed almost 1300 hours of community service this school year and the newest members performed 900 of those hours. The NCS Chapter supports charitable organizations such as Hospitality for the Homeless, Saint Mary’s Home for Disabled, and Families of Autistic Children of Tidewater.

Congratulations to all inductees on your hard work and determination!
