"The League of Women Voters of South Hampton Roads members are looking forward to meeting Norfolk Collegiate students and offering a voter registration opportunity," Kaye Tice, LWV-SHR Public Relations and Voter Services Committee. "Beyond registering to vote we stress that with registration comes the privilege and right to vote in all elections on the local, state and national level. As voters we have the responsibility to learn about important issues and the candidates positions. This is how we make democracy work!"
Mrs. Corrie Park, upper school social studies teacher made this event possible while working with NCS student Nick Rosenbaum and his grandmother, Melanie Perez-Lopez, past president of LWV-SHR.
