Robert Abramov, an NCS junior currently taking AP Chemistry, took the local Chemistry Olympiad test and based on his performance he is a finalist for the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad Competition.
Robert and seven other students were selected from our area to take the National Chemistry Exam which is a 4.5 hour, 3 part exam consisting of a multiple choice section, a free response section and a lab practical. There were expected to be approximately 1000 students across the nation to take the exam. The top 20 students in the nation will go on to a study camp and from there 4 students will be selected to compete internationally.
