You should complete at least three reading journal entries for The Alchemist AND for The Book Thief. THESE JOURNALS WILL BE DUE THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASS in preparation for a test on The Alchemist and a book report you will write on The Book Thief (If you read an additional book from the “Recommended Selections” list, you may use it for this book report.). 

Each reading journal entry should be labeled with the author and title of the work and the chapters covered in that entry. Please arrange each entry creating two columns as follows:
